Company Fits enters meaningful partnership with Swimmin' Foundation!

Through the personal story of our Production Director, Evert-Jan Poppe, we were introduced to the incredible mission of the Swimmin’ Foundation:

As a family, we sponsored a child in Bangladesh names Akhes through the aid organization Compassion. With a monthly contribution, we supported his development and contributed to his education, healthcare, and proper nutrition. During a production trip in 2016, I had the privilege of visiting Akhes in person. Just a few months later, I received the heartbreaking nres that he has drowned. While researching whether children in Bangladesh receive swimming lessons, I came across the staggering number of 17.000 children who drown each year. An unimaginable number, and one that can be prevented. Through our partnership with Swimmin', we are able to make a local impact by providing swimming lessons and training instructors.

The Swimmin’ Foundation is tackling this urgent issue by providing swimming lessons to children aged five and up. In addition, they train local instructors so they can teach swimming themselves and help save young lives. In collaboration with Friendship NGO, they integrate swimming education into school programs, raising awareness about the dangers of water.

Recently, another team of instructors from the Swimmin’ Foundation traveled to Bangladesh to give swimming lessons, this time wearing swim shirts developed by Company Fits. We are proud to officially announce this partnership. With several of our productions based in Bangladesh and clients in the swimming industry, we see the importance of contributing to this initiative. Swimmin’ and Friendship NGO have shown us that real, meaningful impact often happens on a local and small-scale level. From past experiences with larger organizations, we’ve seen that this is not always the case.

Together with Swimmin’, we are committed to expanding access to swimming lessons in Bangladesh to create even greater impact. We look forward to taking you along as we continue our collaboration with the Swimmin’ Foundation!
